At Stacks ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. We believe that your data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Stacks mobile application and our website.

1. Information We Collect

Local Data: By default, Stacks is designed to be privacy-first. Your timer data, task categories, and tracking history are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this information unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync.

Account Information: If you create an account or subscribe to Stacks Premium, we may collect your email address and basic profile information to manage your subscription and provide cloud services.

2. Third-Party Services

To provide a high-quality experience, we use the following third-party services:

  • PostHog: We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This helps us prioritize features and fix bugs. No personal timer data is sent to PostHog.
  • Supabase: Our Cloud Sync feature is powered by Supabase. If enabled, your data is securely stored and synchronized using industry-standard encryption.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. They process transaction data to ensure you have access to your Premium features.
  • Apple App Store: All payments are processed through Apple. We do not collect or store your credit card or billing information.

3. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide you with our services. Local data remains on your device until the app is deleted or you manually clear it. Cloud data is retained as long as your account is active and can be deleted upon request through the app settings.

4. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. You can manage most of these directly within the Stacks app settings.

5. Security

We implement strict security measures to protect your data. Cloud-synchronized data is encrypted in transit and at rest. However, please remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
